It was soooo awesome!!

So just came home from the cinema, after watching American Honey with Shia Labeouf and Sasha Lane. Really strong movie, I got under my skin really good.
But I have so many questions about the movie, I hope you can guys can help me with:
The ending?! what the hell was that? So he left her in anger because he thought she had sex with that oil worker, and then just came back. Ignored her for a while and then gave her a turtle?! what was that a symbol of? Did that meant they should run away together like the movie build up to all along? Why was he suddenly cool with her again? Will they just live their life in the crew, hiding their love?
Who was the guy, Star lived with to begin with? That nasty dude who started to dance and kiss her. Her stepdad?
What is the overall theme of this movie? what is the message? I looked it up and found out, that the "stoned-kids-selling-magazines-and-living-life-on-the-road" is actually a thing in the US. Was it to put awareness on that?
Why was Star so angry when Jake was talking with that woman, at the first house, with that Miley Cyrus inspired daughter who had birthday? Compared to when they robbed those 3 cowboys and she was cool with that. And why didn't she fight more to make Jake staying and telling him she wasn't with that Oil worker?
Hope some will give their answers to these questions and discuss the movie with me!
